Hockey390 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Hey, I've been noticing that I have a leak where my pipes come to the engine. Only on the left side, but its sputtering oil or gas or mix of the 2, who knows.. I'm thinking that with the amount that comes out its gonna hurt my performance, not to mention get oil all over my garage and trailer and whatnot.. SO, is there supposed to be a seal in there that is missing? Whats up...pipe just on crooked? Any suggestions appreciated.. (sp?) Quote
broke Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Depends on the pipe. Some use an O-ring and others you need to use some sealant. I like the RTV orange(high temp). I needed to use it on my PTR's. The only way to really know is to yank off the pipe that is leaking and see what's up. broke Quote
superchicken Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 from your signiture,if your still running fmf's they use o-rings.10$you can get 2 orings and new springs,if you change them out get some orange anti sieze and coat the o-rings before you put them in the pipes.it keeps them from drying out and helps seal better Quote
