I've heard several people tell me that you can get shrink wrap that slides over the atv levers and all you have to do is heat it up and it forms to what you put it on.. I thought the name would be lever skins or something like that. I wonder if you can do that to the upper part of a kick starter? Has anyone heard of this stuff?

Lowes and probbaly home depot also has this stuff called plasti-dip i belive that is what it is called. All it is, is liquid rubber kinda. say you got a pair of pliers you would dip the handle down in it and it makes a rubber coating. You could do that with the levers. And I wouldnt see why heat srink wouldnt work either. just if you can find some big enough to slide over the levers.

They make 2 different kind of the heat shrink. One kind has a sealing gel on the inside of the heat shrink to seal out moisture for underground splices, the other doesn't. Just make sure what kind you get, because the heat shrink with the sealing gel will ooze out of the ends, and stays very tacky. If you have any trouble finding some, let me know, we probably have some at the shop.

What also works is to wrap your levers with the fabiric tape they use on the end of hockey sticks. It gives good grip, and is wears good.
