PolyKarbon Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 (edited) I have a Pro Design air filter that rocks. I dont know much about jetting. Edited June 20, 2004 by PolyKarbon Quote
2stroker Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I got rid of the factory airbox and use the Toomey 2:1 setup with a Uni filter and Outerwear. I'm very satisifed with it. I haven't used other setups so I cant compare. But I have no complaints. Jetting would depend on your pipes, elevation, temp, etc. Quote
broke Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I will second the vote for the Toomey 2:1. Great filter, gets rid of alot of the clutter that the giant airbox causes. I ran it for alomost two years until I stepped up to larger carbs. They make a water resistant Outerwear for it that works great(but can burn easily on the stinger tubes). broke Quote
DT40Banshee Posted June 20, 2004 Author Report Posted June 20, 2004 are yall just running w/the the stock air box or no air box at all Quote
yan Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 i use the pro design set up and it wokks great also i took off that dam hose thing and put in 12 1" air hole things good air flow and the outerwear for the pro design realy keeps the iner air filter clean as hell Quote
Banshee~ Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 if you want to keep your air box and just ditch the lid talk to david noss he sold me an billet adapter with K&N filter and outerwares for about $100.K&N makes a airbox lid that filters there air and is reuseable and outerwares make a cover to Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 you runnin in sand? if ur in sand i say ditch the box, and get 2 clamp on filters, if ur runnin in dirt and mud n shit, isay keep the box, off with the lid, and get a 2-1 setup by k&N, foam filters suck in my opinion in mud n dirt Quote
