jeepman380 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I'm trying to decide which type of a-arms to get. Should I get a set with ball joints or heim joints? Which is stronger? I would think the ball joints would be better since they have a boot over them that protects them and keeps them lubricated; unlike the heim which is open to the elements. Some required spindle reaming some don't. What does reaming the spindles mean? Any help would be great. Thanks Quote

Blue Duece Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 i have a bike with heim and one with ball..i prefer the ball joint, ive had the heim come apart on me before.....and good ball joints are smoother....reaming the spindles is useing a tapered bit to open the diamiter of the spindle....for a beefy connection to the spindle Quote
