bansheeMD Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Hello all, I just got finished installing the Trinity 33mm CV single carb kit. I took it for its first ride and was not all that impressed. I think it might be a jetting issue. It runs great it just dosent have the gains I thought it would. The idle is very low and it does not have that quick throttle response that I am looking for. Yes, I adjusted the idle screw all the way in and it is still VERY low. I am wondering if I should go up a size in the pilots or what. PLEASE HELP!!! Heres what I got: 96 shee FMF Pipes and Silencers Boysen Reeds K&N with outerwears in the airbox (with the lid off) Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Quote

banshee76179 Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 I'm at 600 ft mods noted below. 42 main, 175 main, needle on the fourth clip, FMF loves the fourth clip 2 turns out on the screw with 6 to 8 1 inch holes in the box hope this helps! Quote
dirtbike killer Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 You cant have the idle screw all the way in. It has to be at less one full turn out, or the bike will have bad bog when you first jump on it. If its closed all the way your closing off the circuit that works with your pilot. If you cant get it to idle at one full turn out, adjust your cable. Quote
bansheeMD Posted May 22, 2004 Author Report Posted May 22, 2004 it came with a 52 pilot. should i go up to the 55 they sent me? would this help at all? thanks again Quote
sredish Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 it came with a 52 pilot. should i go up to the 55 they sent me? would this help at all? thanks again I'm at a 52 with my 35mm and I'm richer than most. I'd say 42 or lower is what you'll probably need. Banshee76179 is running a 42 and he has some decent portwork. Turn your airscrew out 1.5 turns. Quote
cgamla Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 I have the cv 33 setup and I run a 48 pilot , clip in the 3rd position, 185 main and my airscrew 2 1/2 turns out hope this helps you. With FMF pipes, ada head 20cc domes, k&n filter, no air box at all. Quote
