dalegoldston Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 I went last year and plan on going this year also. Really a cool event. Its mainly geared to the Big 4 Strokes but there are plenty of 2 strokes to line up agianst. The following is from atvconnection in the Yamaha forum huge thread. A lot has been going on the last few weeks. A few of the high lights are 1. The port a tree has arrived, so watch the false starts 2. A few port o pots have been located 3. the track will be a minimum of 300 feet of groomed track for the strut runners. We may actually run 2 tracks this year. ( one groomed track and one grass 660 track) 4. A writer for ATV Sport magazine is going to be in attendance shooting pics and ATV Sport will have a booth. He is also going to announce the races 5. Fireworks, Fireworks, Fireworks 6. Watermelons, whole hogs and drinks (non- alky) will be provided 7. Working on lots of freebies to give away 8. There will be a award for the best looking quad. A lot of guys have been asking about that one 9. Dyno will be here. Bust over a 100hp and i will pay for the run. ( max of 3) The date is June 19th and you are welcome to camp out in the pasture the day before and after. This is the 4th big event and i think we have learned how to improve on a yearly basis to make things run smoother. ------------------------- CRAYCRAFT RACING HOME OF WORLDS FASTEST RAPTORS CRAYCRAFT 730 Race gas raptor 4.281 in sand 300 foot Home of the 39mm hi-po 686 of Ernie660r ATPT- THE FASTEST ATV'S HAVE BEEN HERE [email protected] Quote

Screamin_Banshee Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Dale, he is from Dallas area I think, maybe Waxahachie. He and the CrayCraft guys built a fukin insanely fast raptor. Ported to the hilt, override, NOS, the works. I was there when he got his first 4.28 pass, was very impressive! Quote
roosthrower Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I'll be there too. My poor shee is gunna have to run against drag ported 400cc shees because some of my mods weren't bolt on only. It will still be fun though. Quote
dalegoldston Posted May 12, 2004 Author Report Posted May 12, 2004 I believe I will be 350-400 class I have port work and run race gas. Any you guys staying the night? I may this year I haven't stayed late enough to watch the fire works before. Quote
roosthrower Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 there are gunna be so many quads there this year that the racing will probably go on through the night. Quote
dalegoldston Posted May 13, 2004 Author Report Posted May 13, 2004 I know you would think that they would start racing before three in the afternoon. Quote
ledofthezep Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Somebody post a pic of where this place is at... Sounds like a blast, but is it worth a road-trip? Quote
dalegoldston Posted May 13, 2004 Author Report Posted May 13, 2004 Led go to 14mins.com there are some photos and directions. Last year there were trails in the woods and a small MX track. But they moved down the road a couple of miles so I dont know if the other stuff will be avaliable this year. Its may just be drag racing for the most part. Quote
