hey guys,

im from michigan, and i race snowcross in the winter and motocross in the summer. i have always been into quads and wanted a banshee. i finally stumbled into a good deal on a 00 last week and picked it up. its in perfect shape. the only complaint i have is the bottom end....there is nothing there but when it kicks in it rips. i want some tips on what mod's work best and whats a waste of money. i dont wanna do a big bore...but im open to anything else. and is a boost bottle a boost bottle.....or is there any performance differences between the companies? im not affraid to put money into it....i wanna get it runnin super fast and do some dune draggin...but i dont wanna waste money on things that wont give me any power gains. i appreciate your input. thanks.

try doing some searches ull stumble across alot of info. as far as recommendations go man. boost bottles are really a waste. all they give u is better throttle response. for low ened ur not gonna get a whole lot outta a twin cyclinder 2 stroke. but u could get a 2 into 1 exhaust. some aftermarket reeds will give u more throttle response and a little more power as well. a nother thing is gearing. maybe someone will help u out with that but gearing might help u get some power where u want it by just getting different sprokets. check back i'm sure alot of people will give u some suggestions.

If your looking for a good mod PIPES!!!!!

Low end gnarly or 2n1 (I love my gnarly's but never rode a 2n1)

don't waste your money on a boost bootle :flush:

Get a good air filter- stock suck

But the pipes turn a banshee into a ripper. I was a little disappointed with the power till I strapped on the gnarly's. Now the power hits sooner and is a monster. :D

hope that helps, thats as far as I've got on mine and all I can say is GET PIPES!!

Trinity 2 into 1 intake cv 33 or 35 keihin carb will scream on the bottom end....

U won't be disappointed.....

flywheel lightened and head milled. That makes your power band kick earlier because you hit high RPM's faster. Or a noss head with interchangable domes will work just as well for the head milling. But pipes are one of the best strap on mods dollar for dollar.

If you want good low-end but still have good top end then get a 2 into 1 carb setup. They are really easy to install and really easy to jet. If you look on ebay they have them for cheap. Well first thing you want to get is exhuast of coarse that makes any banshee come alive. A cool head will give you more low-end and better cooling. Then you have all the other good stuff like big bore kits and strokers, cheetah cylinders, nitrous, turbos...... but that's if you are not affraid to put money into it like you said. If money isn't an option than neither is how much power you can have.

the cheapest way to get more low end is drop to a 13 tooth sprocket on the front. forget the boost bottle you would be better off spending $30 on a k&n air filter, go ahead and get the billet plate so you can lose the air box lid or get 2 clamp on filters and lose the air box completely. the first thing I would do is get rid of the stock exhaust and get aftermarket. there are many other things you can do, but these mods above will be a good start. congrats on the new bike. also go ahead and order 3 or 4 sets of jets so you can dial it in.

hey guys.....thanks a lot for all of your input. it is definitly much appreciated. i guess i will totally can the idea of getting a boost bottle. but i plan on buying the toomey tr6 pipes....i went to the toomey website and they looked like they were crankin some awesome power. i rode a lot this last weekend and had a blast. so i guess ill start with pipes....get some reeds. and i already bought a uni filter, the stock one is junk, it was falling apart. but again....thanks for your help. i hate taking advice from my buddies that are ridin four strokers....lol.

Good luck with your new quad.

If you want low end power, consider the DMC 916's or Paul Turner mids also the trinity CV carb system is perfect plus if you have problems with a sore thumb after rippin' around on your Banshee the CV carb is a dream come true no more thumb fatigue, also add good reeds when you do it. More cheap mods well worth the power are head shaved, lighten flywheel. Oh as said before prodesign intake so you can run without the lid but with the option to put it back on.
