Yeah I am looking to get a new set of pipes for my Banshee. I am wondering which pipes you guys think are better? The CPI's or the Toomey T-5's? All i have done to my banshee right now is Milled head, Boysen Reeds, K&N, pro circuit pipes and its geared down. Everyone says to go with those two pipes when you start to mod your banshee. So just let me know which ones you think are best and why.

Thanks,

kaiz

The question is what kind of riding do you like to do? If you like to just ride trails or dunes the t-5's are a good pipe but if you are planning on going big with your mods or doing some racing I would go with cpi's. I have had both pipe's and I personally like the cpi pipes better.

Like he said...it depends on what you're wanting out of the pipes. I've ran T-5's, but prefer Pro-Circuit because they suit my style of riding better. Both are great pipes, I've not tried the CPI's...but I don't think they'd suit my style either, kinda like the t-5's. ;)

I have both, CPI's and T-5's. If you plan on port work, bigger carbs etc. go with the CPI. Pro Circuit makes a very good pipe. I would just run the Pro Circuits until you get it ported and then buy some CPI's. IMHO the gains are minimal, depending on your riding style, between Pro Circuit and Toomey. If you can find someone who wants to trade, then go ahead. If not just stay with what you have. B)

Yeah the only other thing I plan on doing to my Banshee is getting it ported. So would either of those pipes help me out with the mods that I have now? I probably won't get it ported till next year. I love the sound of the toomeys and Cpi's though. Don't really care for the sound of mine.

Thanks,

Kaiz

I would almost buy a set of CPIs and run them solely on the way the sound. Even though they suit my riding style about as good as a phat bitch suits my dick.

STAY WITH THE PRO-CIRCUITS UNTIL YOU GET IT PORTED, THE PRO-CIRCUITS AND TOOMEY PRODUCE ABOUT THE SAME HP WITH THE ADVANTAGE GOING TO THE CIRCUITS, DONT THROW YOUR MONEY AT ANYTHING TILL YOU PORT AND GET CPI'S

Keep the pro circuits and save the money for a port job and new top end , then if you want more you can always buy the CPI's later on .

The porting will give you more power than just switching pipes, and probably be less money than the pipes would be.

I ride dunes only, mostly tight technical hill shoots and jumping. I'm also a bigger guy and absfreakinglutley love my CPI's. I couldn't imagine anything else. I'm ported, with v-gorce and +4 timing. They run like a raped ape. However, I've never riden Pro-Circuits to compare them too. I've never had problems with low end and they rev through the roof! Comparing pipes is like ford vs chevy, everyone has a preference. Good luck.

Hey thanks for the help. I think I will just get it ported first and then adventually get the CPI's. I would like to hear them first also. so if anyone know of a site where you can go listen to different pipes let me know.

Thanks for the help,

Kaiz
