Westro Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I have found another love, I picked up a 1988 250R to go with my 1998 Banshee. My Shee is pretty stock with a Trinity 2 into 1 with 39mm carb and a cool head, works dual rate and FMF pipes. But the R has some goodies on it, +4 Dura blue axle, +2+1 Laeger arms, porting/polishing, hinson clutch, fmf pipe with Curtis Sparks silencer, bead lockers and Works triple rate. Boy I am now wishing that my Banshee had the suspension that new R has! The R does handle better but the Banshee still rips in the straights. I think that I will have to keep them BOTH! Trying to stay away from the 4 strokes. -Marc Quote

locogato11283 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 id take an R, but itd be gettin a cr500 engine in it quick like. Quote
Westro Posted April 30, 2004 Author Report Posted April 30, 2004 (edited) The Trinity 2 into 1 is the best thing that I did to my Shee in my opinion. And the larger carb seems to not lose the top end that everyone said would happen with a 2 into 1. Best setup for the type of riding that I do, anyway I didn't like dealing with two carbs. As far reliability, haven't had the R long enough to see. Can't say that the Shee has been all that reliable anyway. Take it easy -Marc Edited April 30, 2004 by Westro Quote
