hamuel Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Anyone GOt a suggestion on a extented swing? Extend the stock one? or lsr or quickstand? Quote
evil Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 to hell with lsr, get a quicksand mod or a fully built one from quicksand if you have the money. ive seen his modded stockers and they look nice, in fact he will be doing the one on my wifes banshee in a few months here. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 if you have the capabilities just modify the stock one. itll cost you a lot less. ive extended them from +2 to +4. +4 costs maybe 3 bucks in materials to do it, plus your time. i just ordered a roundhouse carrier and aluminum carrier from cotton eyed joe. i got it all for 215 bucks. im gonna graft it to my stock swingarm. i bought an aftermarket swingarm once and spent like damn near 800 on it. those days are over with. Big Blue Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 http://quicksandmotorsports.com/ CEJ how much do your carriers run. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 (edited) http://quicksandmotorsports.com/ CEJ how much do your carriers run. Carrier with single bearings per side, brake mount with brake spacers, grease zerk, lip seals, snap ring and adjustment tool are $165.00 and around $10.00 to ship. If you want the billet carrier and the steel carrier tube with the pinch tubes, and boltsl, the whole thing is $200 and $15 to ship. Edited April 25, 2004 by Cotton eyed Joe Quote

MotulMonsta Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Get the double row bearing carrier..worth it's weight in gold. Stock swing arms are junk..replace that P.O.S. ASAP! Get a honda style round house swing arm..You'll live an extra 10 years from the lack of stress due to your chain staying at the tension you put it at...also your axle will stay straight and it takes me only 2 min. to adjust my chain..instead of 45 or so with a stock arm. nater006 Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 45 minutes? Dang. Mine takes me like 5 and only because the skid is slightly in the way. Just have to put some serious elbow grease into it and the chain stays adjusted where I leave it. Don't get me wrong... planning to upgrade to a round housing twin bearing row setup shortly and I don't like the stocker but it isn't like super horrible. Quote
