Liftedbronco Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 (edited) Whats my best bet to repair this. The mount is broken, though the resevoir and lever are fine. I cant weld it so i need to replace. I guess the best bet is to ebay a new assembly. Do any aftermarket companies make the resevoir/master cylender? Or is this a yamaha only kinda thing? Also, I bent my bar pretty bad. What kinda bar reccomendations do you all have? I saw a tag t2 setup for $200 with mounts...doesnt sound too worth it to me. I saw bars for around $60 that will fit stock mounts. Reccomendations on brand/size? Edited April 12, 2004 by Liftedbronco Quote
erbilabuc Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 why cant you weld it? Any bar is beter then stock! Quote
ledofthezep Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 (edited) What part of the mount is broken? The part that clamps or is it next to the resevoir? The tag bars are pretty sweet, if ya got the money. I haven't had any problems with my FLY bars, I like'm. Edited April 12, 2004 by ledofthezep Quote
banshee tuner Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I'm sure handlebars are like every thing else you get what you pay for. I've got msr dominator aluminum bars and only spent $35. They are much better than stock in my opinion. I've even rolled and did not bend em but bent an a arm. Quote
. Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 If you plan on rolling it again, go get yourself some cheap 20 dollar bars, and dont tighten you controls tight, just tight enough that they dont move around on you. I'd much rather bend a set of 20 dollar bars than a steering stem and other parts. If you dont bend the bars, that stress is going somewhere else. Quote
Liftedbronco Posted April 14, 2004 Author Report Posted April 14, 2004 Yea im not gonna go nuts on bars. i see that i like the tag x5. i was looking for brand.model/bend ideas. I definitley wanna get a lower position thats not so up and back like the stocks. Quote
