BrokeStonedBiker Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 i cant get my chain tensioners to stay tight. i start off the ride with a tight chain but when i get back its loose as a goose and the axil is not square so riding wheelies bvecome really hard and really dangerous. is there a trick to tightening them? is there a better one i can buy or could i fab these ones so ther work. my chaain is also really loose and when i took offa link it was way too short so im not sure how to hold this axil from moving. too much power i think. lol Quote
SDD Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 If you'd quit buying the damn weed and killing your brain cells you would have a round housing swingarm on there as well as a new chain. Quote
99screaminshee Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 u dont need a round housing swingarm and carrier i have stock and no problems with it tighten it down good if that dont work put a lil loctite on the threads or use an impact to tighten it Quote

BenBB Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Are you talking about the little adjusters at the bottom rear of the axle carrier? If so, use some loctite on all of it; the adjuster nuts, the top axle carrier nut, and most importantly the bottom axle carrier nut. But you gotta get the axle square and get the chain adjusted before you loctite & torque 'em. Sounds like it's time for a new chain too, it's best to replace the chain and both sprockets at the same time if you can, adjust the chain and loctite them nuts. Good luck. Quote
