T469 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 what is everybody's opinion on the best axle lock nut. i'm getting tired of the nuts coming loose while ridin'. i've used alot of locktite to cure the problem but after that they are just so hard to get off. so i'm looking for which lock nut is the best, been leaning toward the new rad with dual locking allen bolts. frocashmoney24 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 yea i like thos with the allen screws in em, ive heard that durablue makes some good ones Quote
BenBB Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I had the same problem, installed a locknut from Alloyspecialties.com and haven't had it come loose since. It also has two allen bolts, looks and works great. Quote
SDD Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 The best one I have found is the Duncan Racing lock nut. It's just like the alloy specialties one but the duncan one is made out of stainless steel. It holds up to more abuse and can actually clamp down with more force. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Don't run the lonestar, I've had nothing but issues with it. Always comes loose. Right now I have it lock-tighted and saftied to the hub..Still comes loose. Quote
