trayfoe Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I used AFCO radius rod with rod ends, it was like a little over a bill for all three. Quote
cb67rs1 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 i took a set of stock shocks and just took the springs off them for the front. Quote
Southside Motorsports Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 any machine shop can machine those pretty reasonably just give them all of the dimension and what material you want them made out of. Quote
TexasQuad Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 Go to Lowes, Home Depot, or some hard ware store... Look for 1 inch round tubing... Aluminum... Thin wall Steel... or something... If you try to get too low ur gonna rub your tie rods against your pipes... if you have drag pipes or I believe T-5 u wont have a problem... but i took my round tube and cut them 12 inches long... then i took and came 1/2" off each end made me a mark in the center and center punched it... Do the same to the other side of the pipe... Then drilled a 13/32" hole, (lil over 3/8") made 2 of them and they work perfect.. Be sure you dont make the holes too big for your shock bolts... It will leave slack in ur struts and its not a plesent ride... I dont reccomend ridding down a bumpy drive way with these struts... Reply if you want my Ideas on the rear struts.... Later, Derrick Quote
