"thenewguy" Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 never done it before and dont have a manual but hears what i would do. put it up on blocks. take off the shock and then take off the swing arm. while its off check the seals clean and greese them replace them if you have to. then put it back on. SDD Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 It depends on what brand you get. First remove the chain. If you buy the UPP brand you just have to cut the old wheel off and the metal bearing sleeve under it off. Then you open up the UPP slider and put it over the swingarm and tighten the screw down. Put the chain back on and adjust it. If you get a cascade you have to take the swingarm off basically. Quote

Nighty Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 The metal bearing sleeve must be removed, my slider fits exactly over the swingarm (tight fit) the little arm(on the back of the slider) rests on the upside of the swingarm. The upp website has instructions. Quote

That is why the hole is so big, so it fits over it. Quote

SDD Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 The side that has the big hole fits towards the outside. The metal cap on the side of the swingarm fits into this hole. You have to cut the bearing sleeve off. Quote
