  1. I was told by a builder in the area that if he were to port my cylinders, I would have to buy a new aftermarket head to bring the compression back up. Is there any truth in this?
  2. I just did a compression check on my shee. 120 psi on shift side and 90 psi on kicker side. What would cause this. Just heard a new ticking noise in engine, did a ring break. Should my compression be more than 120 on the shifter side. I am at 420ft elevation.
  3. I think we should all sign screamin96 guestbook on his personal webpage and let him know what we really think. That little bitch deserves it. Please sign here http://screamin96.tripod.com
  4. Do what you feel is right man, I dated a girl for 8 years. Started dating her in highschool (I was 17, she was 15) We made it all the way through both of our college careers in love and doing the long distance thing, LA to Sacramento seeing each other about once a month. We broke up still in love but realized we were living 2 different lives. She wanted to stay in LA and myself in Norcal. We still talk occasionally and I do not regret dating her that long at all......even though I did pass up a lot of nice ass in college. Hope things work out for the best for ya.
  5. Planning on going to sand mountain on the weekend after Thanksgiving, how cold are we expectiing it to be, and how packed.
  6. hey guys, i know it has been discussed before but i couldn't find the thread with a search. I was wondering what you used to clean your chrome pipes. My riding pants have been pretty well burned up on them and they now look like shit. I remember hearing scotch brite pads, oven cleaner, flame..... what works the best without scratching or blueing the pipes? Thanks Mike
  7. The banshee is good for having sex on but in college my roommate really pissed my girlfriend and I off, so she decided we should do it with her ass on his pillow. That was fun and good revenge. Has anyone else noticed that women come up with some raunchy things to do, or is that just my woman?
  8. Thanks, I feel stupid since all the knowledge I wanted was already on the site.
  9. I have the opportunity to get yfz450 front shocks for $200. I have heard that they fit a banshee but am not totally sure. Has anyone done this and is it worth the 200 bucks. The shocks are new, 4 hours use.
  10. Can't check my axle bearings because I bent my stock axle and put in a durablue 2+2 eliminator. While i had it apart I decided new bearings would be a good thing. If that was the problem it will be fixed now, but I don't think it has had new sprockets since 2001, I think it needs em. Thanks for all the responses
  11. sounds expensive thats my opinion
  12. No, I did not replace my sprockets and the chain is not an O ring style chain. Do i need to replace the sprockets?
  13. After rebuilding my shee I put on a new RK 520 KZ chain that a local shop recommended. IT FRIGGIN SUCKED . After 3 or 4 weekend rides it has stretched past the point of tightening. Are these good chains? What chain would you guys recommend? Maybe not the chains fault , if I initially put to much tension on it could it have caused it to stretch faster?
  14. I just bought the TM Designworks slider and took my swingarm off tonight. Do i need to remove the metal bearing sleeve? It looks as if the hole in slider is much larger than that of the swingarm. Is this normal.
  15. I am looking to buy a set of nerf bars in the next week and was wondering what brand, or style do you guys recommend. I mostly ride in the sand but have started running around on some local tracks. Are bars with heel guards worth it. And where do you guys recommend buying them from. Thanks
  16. just curious what would happen if I got rid of the packing in my silencers, other than being extremely loud, would it increase performance. My roommate lost the back to his silencer and the packing on his 125 and it ran like a streak of shit with a lot more torque. He just needed ear plugs.
  17. Good assumption, according to my clymer manual, 12 in/lbs equals 1 ft/lb.
  18. does the system rank you on the number of posts?
  19. I was gonna post a pic of my banshees dyno pull for sweetshee4312 but can't get it to work
  20. I took the tire off and turned the axle and it was probably about an inch out of round. I am not sure that it could even be straightened. I am short on money since my banshee just ate $1200 last month but it looks like i should buy an aftermarket. Do you guys think that wider would be better, and if so, how much wider? Thanks for the responses
  21. I bent the stock axle on my shee this weekend and am not sure if I could have it straightened or not. Has anyone had this done? It I can't, what brand have you guys had the most luck with and what length? I usually ride in the sand but have recently started riding some tracks.
  22. Put my shee on the dyno this weekend. Running a little rich with T5s, vforce reeds, 21cc domes, .020 over pistons, pro flow air cleaner with lid off. Shee produced 52 hp at just over 9000 RPM and a max of 37 ft lbs of torque. I am not sure if this is good or bad but it definently hauls my ass around.
  23. I took two short pieces of radiator hose from a car and fitted them with soft plugs and clamped them tight with hose clamps. They were then put over the exhaust ports on the cylinders and clamped down tight. I then got two more soft plugs that fit snugly in the boot leading to the reeds and brazed an air fitting with a one way valve in one and a pressure gauge in the other. Once these were clamped down with the original clamps I performed the leak down test and it worked perfectly. All of these items should be able to be found at an automotive store, hopefully. I had them all around the shop so I can't be sure. Just be sure you don't have a leak around your braze or one of the soft plugs. Hope this helps, or at least gives you some ideas.
  24. I just split my case about a month ago and used a pair of external snap ring pliers. I just chose places on each side of the case that looked like it was a little thicker aluminum and pried the halves apart working around the case. Do not put the pliers on the flat mating surfaces of the case to pry it open. I am sure somebody will say that this is the wrong way, but it worked for me. Good Luck with yours.
