Bored Cylinders

can anyone suggest a good place to get my cylinders bored and maybe estimated price.....thanks

A local bikeshop should do. They should charge anywhere from 45-60 bucks per cylinder. Make shure you have the new piston in hand and then after the bore check for burs on the ports and a good cross-hatch pattern running the entire bore of the cylinder. cross-hatch is the intersecting lines left from the honing machine used after the boring is done. They should be consistant all around and evenly spaced.

I'm sure you can find a machine shop in driving distance......any machine shop would do it for around 40 bucks a cylinder I'm sure.

when u bore ur shee can u realy tell tha diffrence....or should u only bore it when u need 2? bcause a couple years back i had a blaster, couldne tell tha diffrence 4rm when it was stock to when it was bored..felt tha same to me

Don't bore to try to make more power. The extra few cc's won't do much and you take away that safety coushin for when you really do gouge or scrape the cylinders.

LRD will bore for $40 a hole. If you want it overnight I think it's like an extra $15-$20.

Make sure whatever shop you choose uses a boring bar/torque plates
