ledofthezep Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Most likely from rocks getting flung up by the tires. I got a small one like that on my right silencer, in about the same place. WhiteBrothers puts a dent in their silencers so when the rear shock is compressed the muffler doesn't hit the brake calliper. At least with the E-series silencer anyway. Quote

I know aftermarket swingarms have a problem with the caliper hitting the silencer due to the placement of said caliper..they moved up on top of the rotor instead of behind like stock. Anyways..Are you running aftermarket suspension? I really can't think of anything back there besides the brake caliper that would make a dent like that. Quote

bansheefreak Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 those dents are not from any rock.. no way... they are from bottoming out and hitting the caliper... i have seen rocks stuck in the duels of a big rig doing 35 before it comes out and not leave dents like that Quote
