pimp559 Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Since you already cut the chain you will probably have to go down a tooth on the front. YOu can run two masterlinks and the piece in between the two links you cut to get it back. I run it that way on my cr500 when I get a new chain cause I know its gonna stretch because of the power. Once it stretchs then I take out the piece and run just one masterlink. Quote
cmyyard19 Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 can I use the stock master link or do I need buy the one for this chain? Quote
BdBanshee Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 You can also remove the axle carrier from the swingarm and lengthen the slots the bottom bolt swings in. Just use a Dremel or die grinder and try to keep it on the same arc, so it will allow the carrier to rotate more toward the front of the quad. This should give you the added adjustment you need to loosen the chain up. Quote
bpreuss Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 just rip on it for awhile, itll stretch Quote
. Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 you can either do the slot thing, or grab a 13T for the front to run for a week or so. It'll stretch the chain enough that you'll be able to throw the 14 back on. Quote
