87sheerips Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Heres my aggressive dune/trail port by RB Racing. I think it cost me 150 out the door, and the turn around was about a week. It runs awesome with 93 octane and 20cc domes. In my opinion, YOU CANT BEAT THAT! Quote
BigRed350x Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Thanks for the email! Quote

Now for 150 bucks I can see paying that but 500 is a bit to much. Quote
BigRed350x Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Every port job is different. Just because one guy cuts them open that much doesn't mean every dune job is done like that. Just by looking at the intake running on those cylinders I probably would have said it was a drag port job. The intake has very little to to with where the power is made. Yes, it helps with flow rates and such, but the real power is made in the transfers and exhaust ports. Showing the intake doesn't tell you anything about the port job. It could even be a cleanup port that someone just went a little over-board on. LOL  Quote

He did make the intakes HUGE and personally I think it just makes me suck more gas. But it does run fucking awesome, especially for the price. The transfers were modified along with the exhaust. I dont know the exact science of angles and such on these, but it runs good, thats what I care about!! Quote

As long as it gets up and runs like you want it to, that's all that matters. Could look like shat, but if it runs, who cares! You never see any of it anyway. Good to hear you like how it runs for you. Quote

His name on here is MACHWON. shoot him a PM, you wont be dissapointed!! Ohh yea, you dont see any of that fancy shmamcy intake stuff do ya?? haha  Quote
BANSHEEPRO Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I want to port my cylinders but am low on cash. Has anybody tried to do it themselfs with race logic templates? If so how did they come out? Is it worth it or just spend the extra cash to have them pro done. TRUST ME IV BEEN PORTING FOR TEN YEARS AND TRUST ME IV SEEN ALOT OF HACK JOBS OUT THERE SO LEAVE IT TO THE PROS Quote
rocketboy Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 TRUST ME IV BEEN PORTING FOR TEN YEARS AND TRUST ME IV SEEN ALOT OF HACK JOBS OUT THERE SO LEAVE IT TO THE PROS i agree...most of the previously ported ones i get are done by past owners of the bikes and they just dance a dremel around the intakes and call it a drag port lol and then theres the ones that get fancy and start to modify the exhaust and realize they have no clue wtf theyre doing and stop and send to me to try to fix, sometimes you wil l do alot more harm than good if yo u dont have a soild background on what does what and how to go about changeing it . even some top name re-ports ive done looked awful when i saw them and maybe only had 4 hours of porting work time in them. crazyman Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Hey, Does anyone actually have any specs on porting? I want to do mine but I haven't heard any actual measurments yet... I'm not scared to dig into mine but I would like to see some measurments and angle degrees. If anyone has anything, I would appreciate it. Thanx :: Quote
