Yea i bored mine .20 over last year. It doesnt really change it all that much, just makes it so your cylinder is good again. I havent had any problems ever with overheating.

you shouldn't have any over heating problems unless you go over .80 as long as you stay on top your your jetting.

Oh yeah????????????? Oh man, my bike is 80 over w/pro X pistons, and a pro-design coolhead w/17cc domes.... I just spent almost 3 grand for this motor and it will probably overheat??!! I have not really broke it in yet since getting it put together because I recently ordered my TCS suspension and a-arms and they have not came in yet, so I have yet to put any time on my engine...

But, what are some good measures to take against overheating?

Can some of the experts reply to this and let me know something to keep my engine sano? It is only going to be used for MX, not long long rides or anything, but a good practice could last like a 45 minute ride all at one time before letting her cool off, can someone please give me some expert resolutions?? Perhaps something to look for in case she is wanting to over heat? Or perhaps a method to install a guage to watch my engine temp?

Thanx........

hey if u want to stop ur banshee from overheating shell out 300 bucks or so for a toomey or PWR radiator. they are ridiculously priced but will keep the temps down. one issue i'd like to bring up is this. dos anyone know wnything that has a bigger radiator than a banshee that u can take it off and put it on a shee. i read about people taking shocks and stuff from snowmobiles.so i figured maybe theres a bigger radiator sittin out there we could use instead of having to spend so much on a radiator thats 1/4 the size and twice the price as the one in my truck! lol B)

I had a Toomey rad on my banshee, and I got a pwr on my yfz. The toomey seems like its built way better.

It is kinda dumb that those little radiators cost more than one for my diesel truck.

I havn't tried engine ice or watter wetter, but members with temp gauges said they were good for lowering about 10 degrees, I think.

you shouldn't have any problems with overheating at .80 over just when you need to take your cylinders to .90 next time, my old cylinders where bored .80 and I never had any problems as long as I stayed on top of my jetting, but when it came time to bore it to .90 I just bought some new cylinders to save my motor down the road. and I think one of the best way to make sure it does'nt over heat is to install a temp. gauge or make one your self.
