I have a 2002 Shee with a loose axle. When the weight is off the rear end you can move the axle back and forth and up and down, maybe 1/16 to 1/8 inch or so. To me it feels like some slop with the bearings or I just cant get the axle nuts tight enough. Any advise would be nice before I tear into the beast for a overhaul.........Thanks Brian

if they dont tighten then i would say replace em,while your there do the grease nipple mod on carrier, easy and effective to do,i filled mine up with teflon grease,i think it lasts longer than normal grease??? do a search for the mod if u dont know it,its here somewhere.........

Teflon grease does last longer than the normal stuff.Good move.

After you change the bearings hit off you locknutz with locktite or something similar. After the first good ride check to see if you can move your brake disc around. If you can,not tight enough.

ok listen up,tip,on the inside nut pu a bit of teflon grease on,makes tightening up eisier and on outside nut a little loctite, lateron u can easily retighten the nut with less force if u need to. i swear by this teflon stuff,i use it on everything,if u need it a little thinner, just add a little bit of oil to it and u can make it to whatever consistancy u want.is very good a little bit thinned for assembling engines on critical parts such as cams and cranks, bores ect, makes the first start up a bit more freindly for the motor.

Thanks for the tips, I guess I will be tearing the rear end down soon. One more question, where do you find the proper wrench for the axle nuts, online would be nice....... Thanks again.........
