I changed my oil today and went riding afterwards, noticing my clutch was slipping. It never did this until I changed to a synthetic oil. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Will the clutch grip with synthetic oils??????? Guess its back to castrol 10-40 for me!

1_bansheenutt, what brand of synthetic oil did you use?

Synthetic oils are great if the proper ones are used , they must be non-friction modified for use with wet clutch applications.

The use of automotive oils that are energy conserving or friction modified will cause an early death to your clutch ,synthetic or not.
