Does anyone have any input on a rear shock upgrade, and how much of a difference it makes? I have been running LSR standard a-arms and float 3 shocks up front. That made a huge difference! I currently have a stock rear shock. Between a Fox podium, Elka 3,4,5 , custom axis, or stock shock revalve? What’s the consensus? Thanks

Everyone will prolly tell you to purchase a fox, if you can afford it have axis build you a shock for your weight and riding style.

I had TCS here in California build me a stock shock with upgraded internals. I’m very happy with it. Todd was telling me parts are hard to come by for the stocker…

Nope, definitely not everyone will suggest you Fox.

The best combo for the rear on a Bansheee is the Elka LT setup with LT link.

I know it’s hard quantify, but how much of a difference would you feel cruising down a bumpy trail at 40-50 mph? Can you maintain control a lot better?
When talking about suspension, i have only one advice: buy the best you can afford.

I’ve seen your suspension setup on here before. Very nice! Would you mind posting a pic on here so I can show my brothers?

I could dig around and find it

Fox Podium is the best shock you can get for under $1,000. It has a ton of adjustability. I have run the same shock on stock length bikes as well as my +14 arm bikes.

You don't need Elka LT or anything of the sort. The Fox is the way to go.

Told you.
HMfer in charge recommended the fox shock.

The average rider that has to ask…. will not know the difference between the elka “long travel” setup vs a properly tuned stock shock let alone a fox

The Mfer in charge is riding drag and dune bikes, just saying.

I had the best trail setup you can buy.

So I decided to send my stock shock to get rebuilt and re-valved by Kevin Groff or Jogaca suspension works. He seemed like a nice guy over the phone. A lot of people say the factory shock reworked is quite good so why not try this first I think.
