rjv140
I am just finishing up, putting the final touches on some welds to my frame before sending it off to powder coat. I am planning on putting all new bearings in. I am guessing I should do this after the powder coat is done. Is this the preferred method? Also, should I be removing the steering stem bearings from frame and also removing from parts (rear carrier, swing arm, front hubs) before powder? any feedback would be greatly appreciated. JerzOutlaw350
Yes, any and all bearings have to be removed. ie( front hubs, rear bearing carrier, swing arm and steering stem )
SKEETER
Remove everything now, stem bearings, swingarm, etc. And mark the bearing areas so they can plug em. Or you can grind the powder coat off before bearing install
rjv140
Thanks a lot. I am also torn between semi gloss black or gloss black. I am thinking gloss may look better when new but after a while it may look more beat up vs semi gloss. what do you think?
