When tightening my chain, I have discovered that the bottom carrier bolt will just spin(not tighten). I can’t even get the nutt off to replace with a new bolt. It seem like the only way to get it off is to cut it. I’m sure it’s not ideal to ride it with only the top carrier bolt tightened. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. hoppedupandcutdown Posted October 22, 2023 Report Share Posted October 22, 2023 If it won't loosen or tighten it has galled threads. Will have cut and replace for sure. The top is the pivot, the bottom holds the adjustment. I lost one at the dunes once and replaced with SAE common bolt. Has held forever.
