lincster
Do locking axle nuts really work? Should I buy a name brand or there is on one ebay for $35, brand new, some guy makes them. Do you still have to use locktite?
Big Blue
I dont see why it wouldnt but i would still use lock tite on the nut and the screws.
astromybud
I have an older RAD nut. It is a single squeeze bolt system. I've found that I still need to use the LocTite. BUT it is much easier to remove the nut when needed. Just loosen the squeeze bolt and then loosen the nut. Cheers Astromybud

Meat
I have one made by AlloySpecialties. I dont use loc-tite, just tighten up the 2 allen pinch bolts. I rode all spring, summer and fall with it and I needed to tighten it twice. I would get loose just enuf that my sprocket hub could move back and forth, id tighten up the axle nut and it would be good for 3 more months. It hasnt come loose since the last time I tighten it, about 2 months ago. Dan from AS used to post here, but I havent seen him in along time.
