the numbers if correct are too low. You should be looking for mid 50s.  I would get another set of calipers and see if your numbers change.  Also, try another piece of solder, SouthTexasBanshee has a great tutorial on measuring squish.

BUT your builder says run em, so im thinking the guy sells these set ups all day long and if he stands behind what he says run em, if theres a problem have him stand behind his work

I already installed the o rings on the head and torqued it down but motor hasn’t been ran, I should be ok or do I need new o rings? Yes, everything was supplied by the builder.

Run it if he says run it. If theres a problem hold him accountable.

If you have another caliper or solder double check your squish.

Motors can certainly run on that tight of a squish, but I’d be leary of running a pump gas motor at .040 . Typically the tightest you see pump gas at is .050 plus. .045 at the minimum, but be conservative on the timing.

It was the last wire I had left from a long time ago, but I can tell you that it wasn’t thick, what’s the size are you supposed to use?
