Mine was a PIA too but finally got it. Had to press the bearing with more force than I wanted to to get clearance for the pin.

I always remove it from the frame and remove the head and the clutch for inspection at the end of the season.

It worked!!

But now, it's rubbing against the water pump cover lol!!!!!

Mine rubbed too, made an awful screech for about 10 seconds and clearanced itself. Hasn't made a noise in 2 years now.

same on the rubbing mine did it too , it has either A fixed it self or B impending doom is near for my mtr

Everything is good now, it's ok with the gaskett on.

Thats modquad. Mull uses a hardened shaft.
