Hole in case by stator wire rubber plug

So i disassembled my shee and was cleaning everything and noticed a hole in the case by where the stator wires come out. What in the hell is it? What used to be there? Where does it lead to? God only knows how much water n shit got in there.

This one ...just a drain anything that goes in it comes out at the bottom

Yes thats the one, was thinking that the drain was more in the center. Holy fuck i cant remember shit lately, 2 builds at once has me goin in a million different directions. Never again
