Wreckless_Rider Posted October 14, 2017 Report Posted October 14, 2017 New to the Banshee scene. Jetted many other 2 strokes but no twin cylinder beasts like this. Building the motor as we speak, everything done is listed in my profile. Got the Vito's jet kit, comes with 280-340 mains, 30 pilots, vitos red needles. Anybody give me a baseline to start with? Im at 60ft Sea level. Quote
Wreckless_Rider Posted October 14, 2017 Author Report Posted October 14, 2017 Also i measured my carbs on the reed side and got almost 28mm. Have they been bored? Quote
gusto Posted October 14, 2017 Report Posted October 14, 2017 You have a stoc stroke hotrods crank and not a 4 mil? if stock try 300 main with 30 pilot if 4 mil same pilot bump up the main to 320. both settings should be Rich and safe to jet down...I think Quote
Wreckless_Rider Posted October 14, 2017 Author Report Posted October 14, 2017 Stock stroke yes. Once i get this thing together ill try that. Cant wait to ride it, thought my blaster i had back in the day was cool, this is gonna knock my socks off lmao Quote
gusto Posted October 14, 2017 Report Posted October 14, 2017 Go to South Texas Banshee's YouTube page and learn how to synch carbs 1 Quote
Wreckless_Rider Posted October 14, 2017 Author Report Posted October 14, 2017 Already read into the whole carb sync thing, sounds easy enough. Quote
Toybreaker Posted October 15, 2017 Report Posted October 15, 2017 300 main I would run 27.5 pilot and put the needle on the middle clip to start. Have fun.... buy lots of plugs for the chops after testing. Quote
Wreckless_Rider Posted October 15, 2017 Author Report Posted October 15, 2017 If i get the cylinders mild trail ported, how would that effect the jetting from stock cylinders? Quote
Wreckless_Rider Posted October 15, 2017 Author Report Posted October 15, 2017 Shooting for hp in the 60's, should be easily attainable with everything i got done & porting right? I do not want to get bigger carbs, these are already bored to 28's, and the old lady already isnt very happy im doin this instead of a new bathroom lmao Quote

But everything still has to jive. If i were you i would not get bigger carbs. Id actually prefer stockers being your doing a trail port. A bigger carb will "contradict" the trail port. My old 4mil stock cylinder with t5s, vforce, +4 timing, dune port and pwk35s made 69hp. But that motor was junk from the get go. Quote
