99 first stock banshee build

Recommended Posts

First of all I wanna give a huge shout out to the members of bhq! You guys rock...thanks for all the info and help you provide..OK so here goes...

I recently acquired a 99 blue and white pretty much stock banshee thru a friend who blew the motor and didn't want to be bothered with it anymore. We worked it out and he gave me the atv! I let it sit since March and recently sold my 2014 yfz450r to help finance this build.

Here's how it looked when I got it

Bike has fmf gold fatty pipes and power core 2 silencers, boyesen reeds, pro mod adapter/air filter, DG nerf bars and front bumper, jets are 250 main and 20 pilot.

Whoever "modded" the head did a horrible job and milled it unevenly and water got down into the cylinder and rusted it out...then he went to start it and pieces of rust and crud scarred the cylinder and got down into the crank...needless to say I'm doing a complete overhaul!

I searched thru the sponsors list and hooked up with Jeff from F.a.s.t after reading how good he was to deal with and ohhh boy he was awesome... he sat on the phone with me for an hour going over my list and getting my order together.

I've since done a few things to get this underway...I've modded my shift star.https://vimeo.com/188931037
