i have stock pipes and the seals that join the pipes together (the ones under the seat) have rips in each one and i was going to just replace them but they are charging 40 bucks each(aussie dollar) . now my bike sounds awsome but there is a bit of smoke coming out and i am worried that i might be loosing rear compresion from this? is there anything that i could put on the pipes to seal them up?any replies will help lots

I have fattys and I think I used 1" or 1 1/4" heater hose. I had to tighten them the first couple times as the rubber heated and changed properties. They've been on for 2 yrs now and still work fine.

I used 1-1/8" Hydraulic hose. If you can find something close you can always use some hi-temp RTV on the inside to help it seal and hold up to the exhuast heat a little better.

Boonman you must be thinkin' of a different kinda pipe (a hooka?)...
