rayray69al Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 My left carb idle screw is stripped do they make a oversized idle screw or what is the best way to fix it without replacing the carb. Plus I have some other issues with my 02 banshee but I'm trying to fix the little things first Quote
trickedcarbine Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Research that timeserts and Helicoil thread repairs. Quote
guns4children Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 You could always stuff it full of jb weld then drill and tap it. 2 Quote
Bennett131 Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Loctite makes a thread repair kit, it doesn't suck too bad. Might work out for you, just an idea. Quote

rayray69al Posted July 8, 2016 Author Report Posted July 8, 2016 Someone else told me to fill it with jb weld and drill and tap it again also u was just gonna try to tap it but the screw just slides in and out with no resistance so I figured the whole was to big just to tap Quote

rayray69al Posted July 8, 2016 Author Report Posted July 8, 2016 Ok thanks I just wanted another opinion on it before I done it I greatly appreciate the help then I'll get on to the bigger problems lol Quote
trickedcarbine Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 Or have it fixed professionally in a matter of minutes with a thread repair.... But some people just love to hoopty shit with JB weld, wait 24 hours, drill, and tap. If you can do the last two steps, you can do a timesert or Helicoil. Quote
