JordyRoo Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 So im jetting my PWKs this is my plug chop Im running FMF gnarlys, 4mm crank, 66mm bore, mild port job, vforce 4s & twinair powerflow kit with no airbox lid. Current jetting is JJH needles, 2nd clip from the bottom, 190 main & 48 pilot. Still seems a little lean. Runs mint no bogs or flat spots, just gets warm. Leak down held 6psi for 30mins & didnt move. Any ideas, should i go bigger main? 195 or 200? 1 Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 5, 2016 Author Report Posted July 5, 2016 1-6 run then back to the van should of swapped out after the pull i know. & i keep thinking 190 is huge for that carb.... Quote
guns4children Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 I dunno if it makes any difference but I'm running a tad rich with 160 mains on my 421 -serval with procircuts. I do have 35 pwks though. just for reference cause it seems you're waaaayyyy rich. Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 6, 2016 Author Report Posted July 6, 2016 So what do you think is the problem? Leak down passed, pick up gap is right, motors been rebuilt with new crank, pistons etc, reeds are also new with no gaps. Could it be fuel starvation? I have ordered a dual pingel valve... Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 I'll bet if you did plug chop correct it would look even leaner. Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 6, 2016 Author Report Posted July 6, 2016 Genuine jets, think ive found the issue. Ive swapped the boost bottle for the cross over tube & now the plugs are wet. So ill put some 170s in & do a plug chop ill post results in 5mins. Quote
JordyRoo Posted July 6, 2016 Author Report Posted July 6, 2016 warmed on old plugs, new plugs in. 1-6 WOT & kill at WOT. roll to stop & pulled plugs. no bogs or flat spots. Quote
