tdod101 Posted April 2, 2016 Author Report Posted April 2, 2016 Polish the crank snout, Quality seal, Quality grease on the lip, seal the Keyway. Problem solved. I shouldn't have to do any of that shit. The builder had my motor for a fucking year!!! It's like a cruel joke. Quote
hercalmighty Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Who is the builder Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk Quote
Craig B Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I shouldn't have to do any of that shit. The builder had my motor for a fucking year!!! It's like a cruel joke. A year ?????? Remind me not to use him. Quote
sleeper06 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 You should send me that crank so I can run it on a true stand , would love to inspect deal also Quote
sheerider11 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Just a bit of research will show the builder. Regardless, that won't mean anything. It'll become a shit show and nothing will be resolved 2 Quote
hercalmighty Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Hmmmm, just looked at his past post. You would be correct in your statement sheerider11 Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk Quote
guns4children Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I like drama. I wanna make a guess. First I'm going to eliminate HJR. He's had a very fast turn around so I doubt he ever had a motor for 6 months let alone a year. Also it seems like people openaly complain about his work without fear so he's out. Am I correct so far? hercalmighty Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 It was not hjr Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk Quote
sleeper06 Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Builder is irrelevant shit happens sometimes. What 90% of people don't realize is these are race application engines. Parts fail , does it suck , yes 3 Quote
hercalmighty Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I was more wondering which builder it was because of the year build time. You are right sleeper, shit happens and these are race motors. But to be honest after having the motor for a year and spending a good amount of money to build and test the motor, I would be pretty pissed having a leaking seal. This isn't a huge drag motor. This is a very basic 4mil build. To be honest though, this is probably the first time I have heard any problems with the builder. Unless like I have seen in the past, no one is coming forward for fear of being shit on Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk Quote
guns4children Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Yeah you have to do expect stuff like this to happen on occasion. Its just bound to happen sooner or later with the number of builds these guys do. The real test is what happens now. If the builder as asked to make it right and comes through in a timely manner then I feel that all's good. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 In order for the builder to make it right, he has to be contacted. Tdodd, see if he does. Quote
