I have decided 4mm stock bore dune port is plan...stock carbs, or 35s?

There's lot of good builders/ sponsor's on bansheehq just pick one. No one can say who's the best because one guys play port is going to get beat by the next guys dune port which will then get beat by someone else's drag port. Personally my bike is over built for what I do. I ride Glamis 100% and lead a group through the dunes. I use more fuel to do the same ride. My second bike has all the bolt on parts and a HJR mx port and its a lot of fun. That's what I would recommend for a dune bike.

if you are going to build a 4mil, why half ass it?

Also, wouldn't trust HJR.

If you want to see what other 4mils can make, check the dyno section.

Sheerider11 made 80/42.

JDS made 83/44 and 80/50

Sandking made 74/43

Surfrjag made 67/36 (this was race gas, stock airbox, vf4 reeds, stock carbs)

A lot of variation in those dyno number...different dynos, different days, different temperatures, elevation.  Lots of things can affect numbers.  Why do you not trust HJR?  I spoke to him about there crank and he said that Wiseco, HR, Vito, and HJR crank all use the same jap crank with same component manufactures..

If a builder picked up the phone anytime it rang, he'd never get anything done.  Call, leave a message, wait.  If you wait more than a week, call again.

That being said, Cam at Redline has always spent time on the phone with me anytime I got him to answer and was more than willing to answer any question that I had.

He also finished my engine right on time and far exceeded my expectations with performance, support, and pricing.

That's why when people talk dynos, it's a given that they talk Dynojet.  There have been several reports of the same bike making within 1hp on 2 different dynos in completely different parts of the country becuase A: the dyno is a good dyno, and B: the dyno accounts for atmospheric changes extremely well.  We are all aware of what things affect dyno readouts and we all do not care because they've become so repeatable that we don't even ask anymore.  If you want to get into the dyno debate, create a thread for it.

If you trust HJR, go ahead.  You came to us and we answered.

Also, the crank things throws me off a bit.  Where I work, we make different products to different standars for different prices and for different customers.  That doesn't mean that if someone buys our product and likes it that the next customer that buys the cheapest shit we have to offer will meet the same level of satisfaction.

And that statement there is why I wouldn't use him.

That's a flat out lie. He was sending out sub par cranks, advertising them as HR. they were blowing apart and people realized what he was doing. Clearly not the same.

I'm sure Bansheehp on here can chime in on the vitos being the same as all the others

I dont care how great red line is I wouldnt consider....I have called a week straight and never got an answer or voicemail option.  It is awesome that they are that good that they dont need to put an email address, facebook connect option or even give the option to leave a voicemail.  Then they are to busy for my business.

I am still trying to learn this stuff so easy for me to miss some details.

That's why we've advised you as we have.  Redline, K&T, F.A.S.T., GT, Precision... There are many builders that will return a fast engine, but the shit hits the fan when you line up with your $3k build against another $3k build and he waxes your ass or you tank the top end after your 3rd pull.

Would ya look at that phone number, email, and a Facebook link.

As far as a voice mail I can't speak for. I know FAST is good on that. They change it often to let people know they aren't going to answere or even return calls so they can catch up.

I had been using this site which is different then site above
