Right cylinder not firing plz help

I agree the symptoms sound like its lean on the right side and prolly has a air leak , but it now has a trinity single carb kit with new gaskets and such, wouldn't both cylinders be acting up since it's one carb? It's getting fuel and has spark, its weird that one side is still acting up. Will let you know how tomorrow goes. Thanks

air leak by the reeds or base gasket will affect that side only.

No!  An air leak will only affect the one side if it's a reed gasket, base gasket, or crank seal on the one side.  Even though it's a twin cylinder, the bottom end is sealed between the sides, so an air leak on one side won't affect the other side, unless there is a leak between the two case halves.

Ditch the stock carbs for some 28pwks. You use proper torque and gaskets while assembling this thing? If you did it right and took your time I doubt air leak. Pickup coil you sure is ok? I can get you a new one. I wadded mine up last year and caused my bike to run on one cyl.

I'm going to spray some soapy water in that area and see if i notice any bubbles or leaks, all gaskets and seals on the motor are new and everything was torqued down to spec in assembly so it shouldn't be air leak. Currently I'm running a pwk 36 single carb with a trinity manifold. The biggest improvement made was when I changed the broken timing plate so for some strange reason I feel the problem is in that area... Gona try a new pick up coil and see if that helps, also going to try a different cdi if possible, not a lot of banshees out here so parts are hard to come by. Will keep you all posted and feel free to make any new suggestions. Thanks

So I changed every electrical component on the bike except the harness itself and its still the same thing. So it seams to be the motor. Also pulled the motor right down to check the cases and they look fine, crank also is in great shape. I noticed when one piston is approaching TDC, the other piston is already on the way up, and i think maybe the other piston should be all way at the bottom??? A more experienced engine builder could comment on this. Other than that the motor looks fine. Only thing puzzling me other than the obvious missfiring right cylinder is the entire motor has pretty much been rebuilt with new seals and it's only at 90psi :s any suggestions

If at any point both pistons go the same direction the crank is spun on the center pin. it is out of phase. sounds like you need another crank if you're sure  that's happening.

I am 100% sure they go the same direction at a point in time. The previous owner said the crank can be rebuilt and most likely has been rebuilt. Is it something that can be corrected or the crank has to be replaced? Not exactly sure which crank it is. Thanks Phelps

I'm deffinetly going to try another guage. As for import, it's pretty expensive to import stuff but i live in Miami so hopefully I can get one and then send it with someone traveling down, need it running by end of month, also there is a shop out here that's pretty good with crankshafts I hear so i'm going to stop by and see what they can do, most likely will be getting another 1 though, which cranks do you guys suggest?

Could you post a link or tell me what's needed to make 1 thanks... Yes sealer was put on seal and possibly the key, will ask the mechanic ... Also put on a single carb kit and it's doing the same thing on the right side, so carburetion is pretty much eliminated... The crank may have possibly been rebuilt, don't know if that could possibly affect anything...

Ok so I took the crank to a local specialist and the crank was waay out of phase. Got it adjusted and welded, put it back together and she's running like a dream!!! Blown away by how fast these things are since it's my first time owning/riding a banshee. Thanks to everyone who helped with ther 2 cents. Since I got it running the shifter seal started leaking so I'll be replacing that as soon as I can find 1, the shift fork has very slight play, is this normal?
