  1. Thanks .... I doubt I will find these local so I will order a jet kit with a few sizes and try em out
  2. Very useful info thanks because it wasn't adding up...the oem carbs are what brand?
  3. The duals are stock oem and the single is Keihin pwk 71RA4 CIT. Not sure what size the single is, looks like a 38 could ve wrong... I ran the 200 mains for not even an hour due to it running like crap...
  4. Ohh btw the carbs have been synced , I tried riding with the air screws at 1, 1.5 and 2 turns. So you think she's running too lean at 200 ?Also would the 210 main jet in the single carb also be too lean also? Thanks
  5. So I've been running the single carb for a week or so and it runs great. Today I went to install the dual carbs and it idles fine and revs out fully when Not under load but when I went to ride it won't rev out fully unless I'm at 1/4 or less throttle. The stock carbs have 200 main jets and have been recently rebuilt. The single carb has a 210 main jet btw. What would you suggest I do next to get it running right on the dual carbs? The motor had wiseco pistons bored over to 65.5, timing is at +4, pro design plate with k&n filter, has toomey t5 silencer only and some other head pipes, not sure what they are :s... That's about it for mods... Thanks in advance
  6. Yea guys out hear avoid 2 strokes because of the hassle.... Esp twin cylinder twin carb ones lol. Sold my 07 yz450 for 3k and bought this for 1k
  7. There are only about 4 in the island and only 2 are currently running so they are kinda rare but i got mine for a little over 1k US barely running, but since everything on it is new now the value should go up to like 3-4K
  8. Lol well the machine shop took about an hour to fix the crank which was surprising lol. I've been going back and forth with this bike for like a month so I was pretty eager to get it back together lol..
  9. Ok so I took the crank to a local specialist and the crank was waay out of phase. Got it adjusted and welded, put it back together and she's running like a dream!!! Blown away by how fast these things are since it's my first time owning/riding a banshee. Thanks to everyone who helped with ther 2 cents. Since I got it running the shifter seal started leaking so I'll be replacing that as soon as I can find 1, the shift fork has very slight play, is this normal?
  10. I'm deffinetly going to try another guage. As for import, it's pretty expensive to import stuff but i live in Miami so hopefully I can get one and then send it with someone traveling down, need it running by end of month, also there is a shop out here that's pretty good with crankshafts I hear so i'm going to stop by and see what they can do, most likely will be getting another 1 though, which cranks do you guys suggest?
  11. I am 100% sure they go the same direction at a point in time. The previous owner said the crank can be rebuilt and most likely has been rebuilt. Is it something that can be corrected or the crank has to be replaced? Not exactly sure which crank it is. Thanks Phelps
  12. So I changed every electrical component on the bike except the harness itself and its still the same thing. So it seams to be the motor. Also pulled the motor right down to check the cases and they look fine, crank also is in great shape. I noticed when one piston is approaching TDC, the other piston is already on the way up, and i think maybe the other piston should be all way at the bottom??? A more experienced engine builder could comment on this. Other than that the motor looks fine. Only thing puzzling me other than the obvious missfiring right cylinder is the entire motor has pretty much been rebuilt with new seals and it's only at 90psi :s any suggestions
  13. I'm going to spray some soapy water in that area and see if i notice any bubbles or leaks, all gaskets and seals on the motor are new and everything was torqued down to spec in assembly so it shouldn't be air leak. Currently I'm running a pwk 36 single carb with a trinity manifold. The biggest improvement made was when I changed the broken timing plate so for some strange reason I feel the problem is in that area... Gona try a new pick up coil and see if that helps, also going to try a different cdi if possible, not a lot of banshees out here so parts are hard to come by. Will keep you all posted and feel free to make any new suggestions. Thanks
  14. I agree the symptoms sound like its lean on the right side and prolly has a air leak , but it now has a trinity single carb kit with new gaskets and such, wouldn't both cylinders be acting up since it's one carb? It's getting fuel and has spark, its weird that one side is still acting up. Will let you know how tomorrow goes. Thanks
  15. Yea I will try another tester in the am... It's still only really firing on the right cylinder though, only thing that has really changed is that it revs out fully now... Has way more power than before but still it quite there...
  16. I checked the reeds before the motor was rebuilt and they both are in very good condition the compression is 90 on both sides which is confusing because it's new top end and all seals where changed in the case. Soo idk...
  17. So i went to put on a timing plate to see if advancing would change anything, 1st thing I noticed was where the pickup coil bolts down was broken off pretty much. So I put on the new timing plate and advanced the timing 3 degrees and to my suprise it now revs out cleanly, which it has never done. Right side fires at mid to high rpm. It still doesn't fire well at idle and pops in low rpm on the same right side. Pretty much has no low end power. Single carb kit still installed. Any ideas
  18. I'll try cleaning the timing nubs, but would that only affect 1 cylinder?
  19. Could you post a link or tell me what's needed to make 1 thanks... Yes sealer was put on seal and possibly the key, will ask the mechanic ... Also put on a single carb kit and it's doing the same thing on the right side, so carburetion is pretty much eliminated... The crank may have possibly been rebuilt, don't know if that could possibly affect anything...
  20. Having a little problem getting a leak down tester, I'm in Jamaica not the states... Apparently no1 has 1 here :|.... I did swap the carbs (from right to left) and took off the silencers , the right side pipes are now getting extremely hot and is spitting a lot of fire and also smoking a bit... Could be all that oil and fuel in the pipes burning up... Some kind of improvement but it's still not firing as smoothly as the left... Any ideas?
  21. Still having no luck... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  22. did you every figure out what the issue is? Im having the same problem.
