Tryna see whats a better buy for my set up i ride trails found a pair of elka shocks used for $350 set up for a 200lb i weigh 160 or f.a.s.t comp shaws new for$ 392 and what things to look for when inspecting used shocks

Yea I've thought about it ima just buy one new cause I'm only 160 lbs and it's set for a 200 lb person I'm trying to do a complete rebuild haven't decided yet if I want to go +2 on the a arms or not I ride alot of trails

Yes def get +2+1 arms for sure

I'm confused, then why do all the dune guys run them?

A few reasons.

 

1. They're cheap.

 

2. They can't afford real suspension.

 

3. They don't know how to tune in suspension.

I had a few concerns fitting in a 4x4 and tight trails thts the only thing I herd the handling is way better tho
