But that bearing retainer is only keeping the bearing from coming out and I don't see the bearing being able to just pop out since its a bitch just knocking it out with a socket and hammer,and the stem is also bolted to the upper frame. sheerider11 Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Take the retainer and cut a groove at an angle with the finest cut off wheel. I use a dremel. Sometimes I'll do 2 or 3. You basically make it into a tap. It will usually chase the threads threads as long as there not destroyed. Go in a bit and back off and keep doing that to clean everything out. Use plenty of lube too. Quote
