So the deal is I installed a new clutch and got everything back together clutch worked good I rode it for a few hours and was headed home and the clutch lever froze and the back wheels locked up so i shifted it in neutral and pushed it home and tore it back down and the inner hub and the pressure plate was all busted up. So my question is does anyone know what would cause that to happen?

Something let go.where is it tore up? The friction surfaces or inside?

Maybe you over tightened the springs and put a hair line crack in the fingers, maybe you left something loose. Did one of the fibers break?

Could be a few things. At this point you need to determine what it possibly was. You can try posting pics.

I've never seen it all break like that. Just one or two fingers on a hub. That could be related to excessive torque, but I'd imagine it is more then likely improper assembly/adjustment.

I guess it could be over torque I didn't use a torque wrench next time I'll make sure I use one though. Thank you guys for the helpful info

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something serious before I put it back together.
