R.Rod Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 Sup guys just finished my rebuild bike started first kick Second day nothing 3rd day it started up idled fine for about 10 min or so then i killed it wanted to fire it back up and nothing and its been dead ever sence really frustrated just dont underatand how it fired up fine one day and the next nothing....someone ever had these issues Quote
Surfrjag Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 Check your flywheel and stator Quote
R.Rod Posted November 26, 2015 Author Report Posted November 26, 2015 Is there a specific way to test other then swappin it out I have a spare flywheel and stator just not the tool to remove stator Quote
oldskool Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 Do you know if you're getting spark at the plugs? Or it just won't start Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted November 26, 2015 Report Posted November 26, 2015 You can ohm test the stator, but I'm a firm believer that anything with windings can test good and be bad. Just order you up a flywheel puller and switch them out since you have extras. Everybody needs to own a flywheel puller. Quote
R.Rod Posted November 27, 2015 Author Report Posted November 27, 2015 No spark to the plugs tryed disconnecting the tors box and still nothing gna order the puller And coil But what the heck is going on how can it run so good then just die like that Quote
camp0429 Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Check over your wiring real good, maybe something came unplugged or melted. Key switch could have taken a shit Quote
R.Rod Posted November 27, 2015 Author Report Posted November 27, 2015 Well honestly the wire looks like shit but bought the bike like that and when it fired up figured everything is wired rite but good idea ima rip out the harness and see whatsup Quote
Chukkinsod Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 If your going to get into the harness give kompulsive a call (on this forum) and get one of his cut harnesses. All new..no need to chase wiring issues. Quote
blowit Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 You may search some of my previous posts on electrical tests. There is no reason to go swapping parts around without knowing they are good or bad. The stator coils and flywheel can be easily tested with a basic 5w nightlight lightbulb. 9/10 times, if the resistance checks at the stator pass, the stator is fine. However, the flywheel magnets can break causing a loss in magnetic flux which induces the AC voltage from the stator. Lightbulb test will confirm everything at once. Brandon Mull Engineering Quote

R.Rod Posted December 3, 2015 Author Report Posted December 3, 2015 My orange coil wire was melted i cut it and wired back and still nothing What would cause a orange coil wire to get so hot Quote
R.Rod Posted December 5, 2015 Author Report Posted December 5, 2015 Jus swapped the stator from a running bike still no spark Does this mean my cdi took a shit Cdi was working fine when i fired it up Quote
blowit Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 You can always swap parts around enough that the problem will eventually reveal itself. Quote
