Stripped idle screw

Just picked up a spare banshee from a guy who said it was not running right. Noticed that the tors delete has been done and the idle screws were added to the carbs the left (choke side) carb appears to be stripped and I can not get a idle screw to stay in the carb. Any ideas about how to fix this without buying a new carb. Thought maybe epoxy and redrill or tap the hole then put the screw back in will this work or should I just pick up a new carb.

Suppose you could re drill the hole Im sure there's a bigger size idle screw kit incase you do mess up the drill n tappin.

You could just gt a new carb stock carbs are pretty cheap some1 had a set for 50 bux in the sale section.

You can use grey marine tek epoxy and re drill n tap . If not let me know I'll hook u up with a carb I have tons laying around I'm sure I could spare a body

Helicoil or TimeSert of some sort may do the trick.

I'm usually all about fixing shit, but the fact that stock carbs are a dime a dozen around here, just replace it and be done with it.

I'm in the same boat here. I just drilled and tapped my carbs. Right side went perfect. Left side not so good. The tap got stuck somehow. Destroyed my whole day. This is the one with the choke slide. Left carb. Anybody still on here?
