Yes oem turbo. Are they different on the newer 6.7s?

Death wobble started last summer. Front tires are bald, so I don't know if that affects it. I have 6 new tires going on it soon.

I've read about shimming something to fix the death wobble or some type of track bar to bandaid it. It has gotten progressively worse, so I'm hoping the new tires help.

Yes, the newest 6.7s went to a new single turbo. I don't know the exact details. I've been told the early hybrid turbos had some flaws.

I'm pretty surprised you're experiencing the death wobble. I have gad zero death wobble issues on my 6 different Super Duties. Sounds like your front end is out of alignment or something.

What circumstances set off the death wobble?

I've personally seen one Dodge truck, an early 2000's model, do it. It was loaded down with a pallet of very heavy bricks. Front end was very nose high. Thing was all over the highway...

It drives flawless unless both front tires hit a bump at the same time. Then it starts an oscillating in the front end that will NOT stop without applying the brakes and slowing to around 40 mph or less. If I see a bump in the road and turn a tad or hit it with only one tire it doesn't happen.

Does it make a difference if you are loaded and towing versus empty?

There are horror stories of people replacing damn near every part in the front end and still having the death wobble. If I knew shocks would fix it I would do that. I had a shop look at it and they didn't find anything wrong. Honestly I don't think they gave a shit or even looked at it.

Hmmm.... BIL tells me all the ones he's done have been in multiple steps.

Fastener lube eliminates the need for torque cycles. And honestly I've probably overhauled well over a hundred diesel engines of all shapes and sizes and never re-torqued anything. Never had an issue

Thinking about looking at this.. Here is what I know..

EFI live w/ dsp5 switch

S&B cold air intake

Air Dog 165 fuel system

Cognito tie rod sleeves

3" MBRP Downpipe

5" Straight pipe Magnaflow exhaust

6" MBRP tip

20x10 Chrome Fuel Hostages

33x12.50 Toyo open countrys

6k HIDs w/ fog lights

I love this body style and interior style.. The bucket leather seats are my favorite!

What do you guys think? It'll be used for daily driver most the time.. Light towing.. Maybe a 5th wheel, car trailer, etc...
