gregckrt1 Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Rebuilt Top end the right side is not firing up switch the plugs the plug wires and still right side carbs can be clean as can be flywheel clean as can be tried literally everything besides switching the carbs. And getting longer choke tube but my right cylinder should still be firing up even if it's the carbs right? But anyways please any information will be helpful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 You have no choke tube? If not there's your problem. Why would you need a longer one? Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Did you JUST rebuild it? Have you actually verified that your getting spark at both plugs? Has it been verified that both carbs are getting fuel? Did you use both sets of rings when you put it together? Spark. Fuel. Compression. Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Yup^ and choke tube. He wanted to swap carbs to see if the problem followed them. Hence the longer choke tube, I assume. Quote
gregckrt1 Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Posted September 12, 2015 Machinegunbanshee yeah exactly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Have you verified spark on both cylinders yet? Quote
gregckrt1 Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Posted September 12, 2015 Yes I have Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
gregckrt1 Posted September 12, 2015 Author Report Posted September 12, 2015 I switched the plugs fired left side switched the plugs fired left side but didn't fire right any of the times. its getting gas to both carbs verified. I just rebuilt it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Did you put the right side piston on backwards? Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 Check compression on both cylinders. Should be around 125 to 130 I believe. Does the right cylinder fire if you rev it up? I know you said carbs are as clean as can be, but you might have a plugged pilot or missed something. I would check compression first though. Also wouldnt hurt to take the plug out and shine a light in the cylinder to see what direction the arrowin top of the piston is pointed. And as long as you have the plug out check the gap. .18~.20 I believe? Quote
gregckrt1 Posted September 13, 2015 Author Report Posted September 13, 2015 Ok I'll check compression tomorrow u would think it had compression since it's a new rebuild right ? And it blows more cold air when rev it up. I'll let u know what's up. Btw thank you for helping me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Your welcome. Just trying to rule everything out that makes any engine run. If every thing is in spec this thing has no choice but to run. And no offence but I dont know you so dont take offence to stupid questions I ask. Just want to make sure on shit... I dont know everything and never claim to, but I have to assume your ignant. Lol Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 What blows cold air? The exhaust? Quote
machinegunbanshee Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Another thing... check the reeds make sure they lay flat on the cage. Also chech there is no spare parts holding them open. But lets finish the basics first. Quote
