twayne24365
well all my parts came today so i got the motor and all back together. it still has the original tors setup, but i got the carbs synced and now im just wondering where a good starting point for the idle screws ontop of the tors boxes is to get the bike started. all the way in and how many turns out? Thanks!
hoppedupandcutdown
If you haven't jacked with them, don't. If you have, the best bet would be to screw them out until the slides drop completely and then in until the slides are both slightly lifted. (by eye, looking in the filter side, engine off)
sleeper06
How did you sink it properly without touching idle screws. I always set cable play and pull then start it with vacuum guage in place and adjust idle screws till it pulls around 5cfm on both carbs
twayne24365
well thats what i did, i backed the idle screws all the way out, set the cable adjustments evenly then turned idle screws in until the slides barely lifted, then set the ball in the sight windows with the cables, and the slides were still in sync, you guys think that will be ok for initial start up?
