stoopidfast Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 I did my leak down test. I pressured up to 6psi and I lost 1/2 lb over 3 minutes. Is this acceptable or normal? I sprayed very soapy water all over the top end and there were no leaks that I could find. Is there anywhere else I should look? Thanks Quote
98_sheester Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 6lbs for 6mins is passing remember...slow leak can get bigger remember Quote
stoopidfast Posted May 27, 2015 Author Report Posted May 27, 2015 Is it possibly the crank seals? I did not take the covers off to check those. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Spray bottle of soapy water will tell you what's leaking. Quote
dirtydownunder Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) use sealant on the crank/primary key, that can leak and if you assembled it all, you wont see it with soap. Edited May 27, 2015 by dirtydownunder Quote
RadarRacing Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 1/2 lb for a few minutes is a PASS if you ask me. I never worry about em if they will hold for that long. It would proba ly be leaking slightly from the crank key, and washer if you want to seal it. Otherwise it passed IMO. 1 Quote

J-Madd Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Look for the leak, but if you can't find it run it. 1 Quote
