WFOFTMFW
To whom this may concern.I can pretty much help you with this one cause I had a thread about it. I just bought a k n n pro flow kit with outer wears because I ride in sand an dirt. The foam filter is better if you ride in dusty conditions but I went with knn cause it cost more an I'm a baller. The pro flow kits are pretty much the best air filters out if your running a air box with no lid.
bsock
I picked up a ModQuad setup with a K&N filter and outerwears and it seems to have a nice fit and finish. Seems the foam filters always clog relatively fast. Brandon

What I meant was that the pro design pro flow kits are pretty much the best air filter "kits" out/with air box.Half of the point of them other then better air flow over stock is you can take the lid off without worrying about the air filter falling off or whatever causing a leak. The air box lid holds the stock air filter in place. A lot of people run there banshees without the lid.I would take it off IF you were going to buy the pro design foam kit, just remember you WILL have to rejet an like Bsock said the foam filters clog up relatively fast. Robert80
hey there, i got one set.^^. it looks good an it fits to 100%. one more question. is it good to cut the nose in the airbox and on the box lid? you see the stamps on the filter from the noses on the second pic. reggiexp
hi i know this a old post but am curious i got a air filter adaptor plate and was wanting ot put a k&n on but was also looking at pro design foam filter but will the foam filter fit the adaptor plate i got? cause seems like the pro design kit plate looks to be a smaller dimension and i cant find info about the pro design filter mounting diameter i like k&n but also am a lazy bastard and donnt do a lot of maintenance.. i used to have k&n in my adly 300 (honda trx300ex) and it ran fine but the tube between airbox and carb was always dirty with dust... never noticed it till i cleaned it once tought it was old dust from befor and then cleaned itr a year later was same black dirty dusty inside and sumer gets dusty here. forest dirt gravel. right now i run stock with twin air filter but i hate the mounting system the foam was gone so i had to impovise somethign els put some thing condence foam clued it around it, yeah now my air filter is pretty much glueded in, so i got the plate havent mounted it yet so am douting if i wanna mount the k&n on my banshee or buy a 65€ prodesign air filter but have no clue if prodesign will fit the plate adaptor i got... that is made for k&n. JerzOutlaw350
@reggiexp If you have a true Pro Design Air Filter adapter plate and not a cheap Chinese knockoff or a Vito’s Performance adapter plate is that the Pro Design air filter adapter plates are marked with either “K&N filter Only” or “Foam filter Only”. So if you have an adapter plate for a K&N filter then only a K&N filter # (YA-3502) will fit that adapter plate. If you had the adapter plate for the Foam Filter then you would need the Pro Design Foam Filter # (PD-207). I personally use the Pro Design Pro Flow Kit with the K&N Filter with a Outerwear # 20-1005-01 and I ride in extremely dusty and sandy conditions and I don’t have any problems with the Pro Design setup whatsoever.
