  1. Well I re set float height and placed clips on second notch from the blunt end re synced carbs and away she goes! I might try the 3rd notch to see how it acts but as of now it's back in action. Thanks to all of those that tossed out ideas!! Brandon
  2. Got everything buttoned up syncing carbs and found the brass jam nut stripped. Needless to say I'm waiting on a replacement. I'll be in touch when it shows up. Brandon
  3. Thanks guys! I'll be checking float height tomorrow and lean the needles and take another crack on it. I'll be back with updates. Brandon
  4. -Shaved Head-V4's-InFrame CPI's -Filter Adapter-K&N w/Outerwear -No Lid-Plate 4*- I gapped the pickup, did not gap the new plugs.
  5. Fuel lines good. Checking float height next and leaning the clips. I don't have anywhere to ride to do a wot run through all the gears. I had 3 good days of riding few hours each and the plugs were brownish in color not black not white if that makes any difference. Today just seemed as if when I go wot it's just complete bog. But it boggles my mind because a month ago when it was a little cooler this thing was a wild ride! I understand they can be fickle but shew did not know that bad. Still trying to grasp the big picture sorry for all the questions but im the only banshee around here local. Brandon
  6. LEFT 149 Psi. RIGHT 142 Psi. Not sure what the actual CR is stock pistons and head milled .030" Brandon
  7. Been 10min have yet to drop even half a PSI...... Brandon
  8. I am if you read, just adding info as I go. Thanks. brandon
  9. Yep just checked long grooves to inside. Both slides smack down new cable I lubed. Just synced them before I went up the road and put in new plugs also. Seemed to be a Pain to sync this time also. Brandon
  10. Well just wanted to take a ride up the road and now I can't get this damn thing to idle down either I keep backing the idle screws out and it keeps idling back up. Don't know if that's another issue besides doing a leak down test? This thing ran do good now it's like a downhill slope. Im going to start tearing it apart for the leakdown but any other ideas would be nice also. Thanks. Brandon
  11. Motor is not ported it's never been out of the bike. It backfired a few times also. I guess I need to do a leakdown? I'm just asking whatever you guys suggest. When it was cooler the thing ran top don't know if that holds any weight or not. Still 4th clip on needle played with air screws stopped at 1 out. Thanks! Brandon
  12. Didn't want to start a whole new thread so I'll add it here and ask. Today it was mid 70's and sunny hottest day I've rode it yet. In tight trails the bike acted fine. long flats mid to wide open would bog like crazy. Sometimes 1-2 would be fine then tip of 3rd bog. I launched in 2nd took off then bog. Would not light back up until I got off throttle and back into it again. Any help would be great. Thanks. Brandon
  13. Good deal! I'm open to any suggestions. I can for sure say that I did not measure height on the floats rather eye balled it parallel with the bottom of the carbs. Maybe I need to start there. I'll get it cleaned up and start with measuring the height maybe that is causing some issue also. It's possible I'm jumping the gun also as it isn't very warm yet. I'll look around on measuring the float height and then plow forward. Just seemed to once fall off it was done as in nothing but bog when I touched the throttle before it did the same but would come out of it with alittle feather the first ride it was a tad warmer too seems that can have a big effect also on the way these react. Thanks again to everyone helping me along the way. Brandon
  14. I put all the aftermarket parts on it. Did a compression check which was within the range but have not done a leak down test. I will run them in and back them out a turn and go for another ride. It for sure would not come back alive this time once it fell off. Last ride it would come back up. Brandon
  15. Might be crazy but it seems it got a tad worse after I tried backing the screws out... maybe I need to go back to 1 turn out and lower the needle does this sound correct? Thanks! Brandon
  16. Love my CPI's, they rip! Brandon
  17. Gravel I have not messed with the screws I am far from savy at tuning carbs. The weather out here is up and down right now aswell. Special06 I'll give it a shot and see if that helps I should be out next weekend to test it again. Brandon
  18. Sleeper06 pretty much nailed the jetting and what not with his suggestions of 300 mains 30 pilots one turn out on air/fuel screw 4th clip on needles. This is with all the mods in my sig. I have not done a plug chop but the bike itself screams I rode it for 4 hrs give or take yesterday and fell in love with everything about the bike. The only concern I have is it seems to have a slight bog on take off also getting back into it on a big hill enough when I mash back into it I can feel it. I bought a sync tool and synced the carbs it was 65ish degrees yesterday in Kentucky where I was riding. The bike would fire with one kick pretty much everytime. Any help would be awesome! Thanks again! My premix is 3 gal 110 2 gal high test pump gas and 40:1 klotz super techniplate.
  19. Haha yeah. It fired on the first kick after I put the choke tube in. Turning the fuel on is how I found out the float needles were junk. Thanks again to everyone that helped. Can't wait to get out and rip on this thing! Brandon
  20. I'm dumb. Now that I have racked my brain I'm certain that the choke tube is not in place. I found it rolling on the ground in the garage this morning and it hit me I bet I know what that is! Thanks again everyone. I'm going to try and get that installed and report back!!! Brandon
  21. I went CPI because I know this disease and I won't stop modding. If I could control it I was going to try Pro Circuit's. Brandon
  22. My CPI's seem to fit well on my 06'. Brandon
  23. Choke tube is in place. I just unplugged it all or is there another step I missed? I'll look to see if I find any bare wires or anything of that nature. Getting spark to both cylinders. The ping marks show up in the glass so assume they are in the proper carbs? Thanks for the help guys makes things a little easier for me! I'll update after I search the harness. Keep the ideas rolling. Brandon
  24. Finally finished all my mods and I can't get the bike to start. I have tried running the idle screws in a 1/2 turn at a time till bottoming out got it to try and fire thats it. Has spark brand new fuel everything tight and new plugs. I put 30 pilots 300 mains 4th clip from blunt end of stock needle. Slides are in sync by eye. The garage is 60* I don't know if that would cause any issues? I set the float level and installed new float needles also. Removed all tors stuff including the black box by the fuel tank. As I stated before I'm carb stupid so maybe this is something small I guess I'm looking for a starting point so I can move forward. I flattened out the boss for the idle screw so I don't think that's an issue. Thanks for any ideas or help and sorry for the long post. 1-1 1/2 out on the mixture screw. Brandon
  25. I picked up a ModQuad setup with a K&N filter and outerwears and it seems to have a nice fit and finish. Seems the foam filters always clog relatively fast. Brandon
